Health coaching is the evidence-based practice of supporting individuals through successful lifestyle and behaviour change. Health coaches are experts in this area, and we are highly trained in various tools and techniques to help you overcome challenges and barriers and make a difference to your health and wellbeing.
As your Health Coach, I:
Support you in making healthier lifestyle choices and adopt sustainable, healthy habits and behaviour that suit your personal needs and your idea of health.
Listen to you as a whole person, understanding that your health is shaped by a wide range of factors (not just one single area), such as: nutrition, sleep, movement, mental wellbeing, relationships, self-image and more.
Provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore your health and empower you to build the confidence and skills required to make sustainable and positive lifestyle changes.
Help you reconnect with your strengths, deepen your self-trust and overcome barriers and challenges so that you can reach your fullest health potential.
The goal of health coaching is to create positive change that ultimately supports what health looks like and means to you.

While it’s important to know what health coaching is, it’s also crucial to understand what health coaching is not.
Health Coaches are experts in supporting lifestyle and behaviour changes; however, it’s important to know that:
Health coaching is NOT a clinical intervention, treatment or therapy.
Health Coaches do NOT advise, direct, diagnose or treat clients. Our area of expertise sits within lifestyle and behavioural change.
Health coaching is NOT a substitute for advice, diagnosis, or treatment from a qualified healthcare provider, such as a doctor, dietitian, counsellor or other licensed health professional.
If it becomes apparent during our coaching sessions that you require guidance from an appropriate health professional, I can help refer you to their services.
-
Health coaching can equip you with a range of tools and knowledge that can be used in many areas of your life.
These can include:
Improved self-confidence, self-efficacy and self-empowerment.
Improved health literacy and understanding your body’s needs.
Exploring what your version of health looks like in a safe, personalised and confidential space.
Receiving personalised support for your health, with accountability, motivation and progress tracking.
Building sustainable health habits that will outlast your coaching sessions.
Enhanced mental and emotional wellbeing and long-term health improvements.
-
Are you experiencing any of the following:

You can ask yourself the following questions to help yourself prepare:
Are you looking for clarity or to better understand your health?
Do you know what you need to do, but are struggling to make the necessary change(s)?
Are your excuses getting in your way?
Are you afraid to make a change?
Are you overwhelmed or confused by health or nutrition information that you’ve read or heard, and are seeking answers?
Do you feel like there aren’t any options left in your health journey?
Have you felt unseen, unheard, misunderstood or dismissed by other healthcare professionals, but still need support?
Ultimately, the best thing you can do is come to a session with curiosity, an open mind and a willingness to give it a go. I’m here to support you, whatever your health goal or vision is.
